courageous conversations training

Delivering powerful training worldwide since 1998.

Founded by actor, director, producer and executive coach Lisa Peers, Peers and Players set out to bridge the gap between theory-based training and experiential real-world communication skills.

The idea? Bring in professional supporting actors—not to perform, but to coach, challenge, and transform the way people show up at work.

What began as a small troupe in Australia is now a global network of 300+ elite actor-coaches, operating across 30+ cities in the USA, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the UK. No other company offers our worldwide presence or depth of professional experience.

Every actor on our team has a multifaceted career—on stage, screen and in business coaching, facilitation, or corporate training. They are experts in roleplay, improvisation, leadership presence, and human psychology. We only recruit the best because our clients expect the best.

From tech giants, law firms, and multinational corporations to non-profits, government agencies, and individual leaders—we meet people where they are, and help them step into the next level of effective leadership; authentic communication, confidence, and impact.

Peers and Players is not a typical training company.
We don’t focus on theory, although we do incorporate our clients’ required methodology. We create experiential learning—tailored, interactive, and human.

Whether your team is navigating a tough conversation, preparing for a high-stakes presentation, or struggling to give honest feedback, our roleplay actors and coaches give them a safe space to practice, reflect, and grow.

We’re here to help your people rehearse for the moments that matter.

Because confident communication isn’t just a given—it’s a learned set of skills, one which is enhanced by practice and coaching.

Lisa Peers

Founder & CEO, Peers and Players

Lisa Peers is a professional actor, coach, and facilitator with a rare gift: helping people find their voice—and use it powerfully at work.

Trained at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Australia, Lisa has enjoyed a decades-long career across stage, screen, and studio. Her acting credits span Australian classics like Sunday Too Far Away and Monkey Grip, as well as standout roles in Fool for Love and Catholic School Girls, which she also produced. She’s appeared in Finding Nemo, hosted Candid Camera Australia, and lent her voice to countless training videos, narrations, and industrial films in both Australia and the U.S.

The daughter of two actors who met in a radio studio, Lisa grew up in rehearsal rooms and backstage. Theatre was not just a profession—it was her first language. She brings that lifetime of performance, observation, and insight into her work, using theatre-based techniques to help others grow.

Lisa added the study of human psychology to her toolkit, especially training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and other modalities, to her repertoire of coaching skills.

In 1998, Lisa founded Peers and Players to bring the actor’s toolkit into the corporate world. Since then, she has trained and cast hundreds of professional roleplay actors and coaches globally, supporting communication skills development for organizations of all sizes—from small nonprofits to global tech companies.

Lisa is known for creating safe, dynamic environments where professionals can rehearse real conversations, elevate their presence, and connect with clarity and authenticity. Her passion? Helping people express their unique message with confidence, credibility, and impact.
